Comitti of London is a leading manufacturer of fine quality English Clocks and Barometers. A family run business established in 1850.

The long history of the company is a tribute to the policy of carefully blending the age-old skills of the craftsman with the most up to date technology of the day. From generation to generation Comitti has looked to develop skills and to design a collection of clocks and barometers of exceptional quality and value.

Many of the styles illustrated originated from London workshops in the nineteenth century and have become established as English classics. Original examples of workmanship are today sought after as valuable antiques.

Only the finest materials and technical standards are acceptable to Comitti. The cabinets are made from solid mahogany, yew, oak and walnut hardwoods and veneers. Traditional hand skills are employed to select, cut and match the decorative grain detail. Marquetry inlays and Boulle are made and laid by hand. All the cases are hand finished to a rich satin patina to enhance and protect the natural beauty of the wood.

The same attention to detail is given to the quality of the movements and mechanisms used. Timepiece, strike, chime and triple chime clock movements are available. Hand blown mercurial barometer tubs and precision fusee aneroid barometer movements are fitted.

The quality of each piece is inspected for accuracy by Comitti craftsmen before leaving London.
