weather processors by Maximum Merlin™ is an eight-function wind instrument for wind speed and direction. Both are given in each of four modes: "Present" is for existing wind conditions, and "Peak" for speed and direction of the highest gust since you last reset. "Average" displays the average windspeed and direction since the last reset, for information about wind patterns for a particular location. "Forecast" is short-term - it compares the most recent 12-minute average to the previous 12-minute average, then displays the trend: "INC" for increase, "DEC" for decrease in windspeed - and the directional LED's will flash indicating the updated direction. Compare this information to the longer term information to see trends and changes in wind conditions. To operate, just switch to "Auto": and Merlin cycles through the four functions. Switch back to manual to hold the display at the one you want. The directional LED's are constant in "present" mode, and flash in the other three modes to remind you that you're seeing historical data. "Reset" can be used to reset a single function, or all functions at once. Memory is protected by a 15-hour backup to handle most power outages. Merlin features a solid brass case, with white lettering on a black background, to match Mystic or many of our other instruments. Comes complete with 60 foot of cable, UL approved AC adapter, appropriate sensors and hardware.
